Clare is a Director at NuroShift where she leads on Governance, Risk and Compliance.
Before this , Clare held the role of Head of Risk and Compliance for Visa Europe Ltd, part of the Visa Inc global Cybersecurity organisation. In this first line capacity she was responsible for the delivery of Cybersecurity GRC programmes in Europe (including Technology Third Party Risk, Cyber Assurance, Compliance and Regulatory Interactions) and ran the Global PCI and Technology Control functions. Notably she has successfully led 2 Bank of England CBEST exercises for Visa Europe and worked extensively on Visa’s Mergers and Acquisitions portfolio to evaluate Cybersecurity Maturity and recommend risk appropriate remediation plans.
Up until the Visa Inc acquisition of Visa Europe Ltd Clare was the Head of Cybersecurity Change and Assurance and Acting Head of Cybersecurity Operations where she deputised overall for the VEL CISO.
Prior to Visa Clare has 20 years of consulting experience including DMW Group and Accenture working for global clients across industry sectors to deliver large scale IT Transformation programmes in both the capacity of solution architect and programme and project leadership.
Clare graduated from Durham University with BA in Geography and an MA in Archaeology where she specialised in the use of remote sensing, geophysics and spatial datasets. Outside of the office, Clare loves to run and keep active with her local club, spend time with family and walk the dog.
Matt is a Director at NuroShift, where he leads on Security Architecture, Innovation, and AI Integration.
Before this, Matt served as the Global Head of Security Architecture at Visa, overseeing a team of 80 security professionals across the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific. In this role, he was responsible for driving the development of secure, scalable architectures and embedding security and privacy by design into Visa’s global technology ecosystem. As a senior voting member of Visa’s Global Technology Architecture Review Board, Matt played a key role in setting strategic direction for the company’s cybersecurity posture. He also spearheaded initiatives in Generative AI, integrating advanced technologies to enhance cybersecurity capabilities.
Prior to Visa, Matt held a series of senior leadership roles, including Chief Information Security Officer and Head of Security Architecture, where he successfully built and led high-performing teams. His career spans over two decades across multiple sectors—payments, trading, banking, asset management, and telecoms—delivering transformative security programs in highly regulated environments. Matt’s expertise lies in aligning cybersecurity strategies with business goals, fostering innovation while ensuring robust risk management and regulatory compliance.
Matt holds CISSP and CISM certifications and is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, reflecting his commitment to advancing the cybersecurity profession. He is passionate about leadership development, nurturing the next generation of security leaders to sustain a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Louisa Tattersall is a seasoned Cybersecurity Programme Project Manager with over 20 years of experience in leading complex business and technical change initiatives. Throughout her career, Louisa has consistently delivered projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with stakeholder expectations. She has a proven ability to manage risks, balance competing demands, and integrate people, processes, and technology to achieve strategic objectives. Her expertise spans both technical and leadership capabilities, ensuring organisations can successfully navigate cybersecurity challenges and drive operational effectiveness.
Louisa has during her career led several high-impact security programs for large organisations, overseeing complex security integration requirements following mergers and acquisitions and ensuring alignment of the target state with the overarching security strategy and business objectives. More recently she has been involved in evaluation and scoping how Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities can be utilised to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
Louisa’s work has included managing security programs aligned with regulatory standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR, and ensuring compliance across governance, legal, and privacy teams. She has a strong focus on risk management, helping organizations proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks while enhancing security posture and operational resilience.
Louisa’s leadership in stakeholder management is a standout, as she is able to cultivate strong relationships across all levels of organisations, from senior leadership to technical teams. She consistently facilitates effective communication of project objectives, status, and outcomes, ensuring full alignment and support for security programs.
